5th Generation Series Kumeu Chardonnay 2022

Our beautiful 5th Generation Series Chardonnay is a first for our family and for New Zealand. It is a product of five generations of our Soljans family being involved in the business and is something we are incredibly proud of.  

This wine is very limited and will only be made on outstanding years of harvest. An exclusive wine from our place to your table, gorgeously bottled with our Soljans label honouring our three generations of winemakers, Tony, Frank, and Bartful Soljan.  

Homegrown at our estate in Kumeu and tended carefully throughout the years by the 3rd generation, Tony, and his grandson, Tyler, this Home Block wine has been aged for 18 months in 50% new, French Oak Barriques. A malolactic fermentation followed for 100% of the wine, allowing it to be smooth, creamy, buttery, and luxurious. 

The first sip is like a mouthful of creme brulee covered in nectarines, fruity but creamy and deliciously moreish. Toasted almond and vanilla finish the wine off beautifully. Drink now or cellar for a treat in 5 years.
